These phones get the update

The Android operating system released in late summer 2019 is already being distributed diligently. It was also known at the time that Android 10 will no longer append the letter Q, which would follow P in the alphabet for Android 9 Pie. Also in the future, from version 10 onwards, there will no longer be any sweets as code names.

After cupcake, donut, eclair, foyo, gingerbread, honeycomb, ice cream sandwich, jelly bean, kitkat, lollipop, marshmallow, nougat, oreo and pie, there is no more sugar stuff. This is accompanied by a redesign of the lettering and the logo to give it a more modern, simpler and flatter appearance. What other innovations we can expect with the Android 10 update is the subject of another article.

Android 10 – will my smartphone get the update?

A significant number of smartphones now have that Update to Android 10 receive. No wonder, as the update to the Android 11 update is already on the agenda. Samsung has supplied some of its devices, Nokia as well and OnePlus can already look back on a successful update year for its flagships. Other manufacturers, on the other hand, need a little more time or could even update completely to version 11.

We have compiled the information on the most popular manufacturers and devices for you and revealed which smartphones could, will, and even already have the update.

Asus

Asus’ ZenFone series has received the first beta versions in the last iteration since March 2019. Many of the updates for Asus smartphones are now available. Among other things, the Asus RoG Phone 2 has also received an update. Asus, however, will probably leave the fans of the first model on the track. There has been a major update to Android 9 so far, but the second update to Android 10 will probably not come.

So so far we have only had guesses as to the current device series and their upgrade future. This has not changed since this article was written. That should have been in the spring of last year … In the meantime, HTC should be completely out of the running. The company has serious problems in the smartphone sector. In our opinion, updates will probably no longer appear.

In the meantime, the rollout of many devices has started and there is even a list of upcoming Android 11 updates. More than just exemplary! However, the manufacturer is now lagging a bit behind its own schedule and had to correct its own update plan a little. But let’s not see it as too tragic.
