From the beginning of July to the end of December 2020, VAT in Germany will drop from 19 to 16 percent. We have decided to pass on the full savings for 2020 in the CURVED shop to you. Means: All our offers are cheaper now. You can find out all the details here.
Both our smartphone offers and tariffs benefit from the VAT reduction. You now save 3 percent on the net amount (effective discount: 2.52 percent) if you hit an offer in the CURVED shop during the period mentioned. This applies to both o2 and blue tariffs.
Saving on tariffs: it pays to be quick
In order to save on the tariff yourself, you have to opt for the order by December 1st, 2020. Then you will still receive a proportional discount for the last month of the year (from January 2021, a VAT rate of 19 percent will apply again). Otherwise, the first billing falls in January and you can no longer benefit from the discount. The sooner you decide, the more months you benefit from the discount.
You will receive the hardware discount (read: the smartphone) in any case if you order by the end of 2020.
How does the savings appear on the invoice?
For technical reasons you will see an additional 19 percent VAT on your o2 and blue bill. Under “Additional Services” you get the discount or the reduction to 16 percent as a credit. The item is called “Discount for passing on the VAT reduction”.
