The first update for Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra has arrived: Samsung is rolling out the first software update before the official launch of the two top smartphones. But this shouldn’t give you a headache.
Although it is quite a major update for the Galaxy Note 20: 500 MB includes the update according to SamMobile. However, this does not mean that Samsung has to solve a major problem before the smartphone is released. Instead, it is most likely a package of bug fixes, performance improvements, and perhaps small features that did not make it into the initial software.
Automatically when setting up
If you buy and set up the Galaxy Note 20 or the Note 20 Ultra, this update should be installed automatically. Accordingly, you don’t have to worry about getting the latest software. The smartphone will officially appear at the end of August 2020.
A procedure of this kind is quite common. Therefore, it could even happen that Samsung will roll out further updates of this type before the Galaxy Note 20 actually launches. And even after the release, there will be further updates that we will keep you up to date. As Samsung has already promised, the Note 20 will receive a total of three generations of major Android updates.
No charging with 45 watts
As has now become known, neither the Galaxy Note 20 nor the Note 20 Ultra have a 45 watt charger, as SamMobile reports. Corresponding rumors that existed in the run-up to the presentation turned out to be false. Instead, the top smartphones support charging the battery with 25 watts.
On August 5, 2020, Samsung introduced the two top smartphones. They have excellent features, but they also have their price: the basic model alone costs just under 925 euros, for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra you have to expect at least 1266 euros.
